Hon. Geoffrey Wandeto in relation to his education agenda for Tetu which includes motivating youths to enroll to TVET colleges organized a Careers & TVET Open Day to rally the youths towards enrolling to the prestigious college. Following the Careers & TVET Open Day, over 972 youths enrolled to the college and are set to benefit from Tetu NG-CDF bursary under the patronage of Hon. Geoffrey Wandeto. The careers & TVET open day was held on 21st April 2023 at Tetu Technical and Vocational College. CS, Trade & Investments, Hon. Moses Kuria was the chief guest. He awarded Gathuthi tea factory Kshs. 100 million for installation of an orthodox tea processing plant at the factory. He also promised 100 jobs to youths at the Industrial Area. Other key notable figures present were Mukurwe-ini MP, Hon. Kaguchia, Nandi Hills MP, Hon. Benard Kitur, and University of Nairobi Vice chancellor, Prof. Stephen Kiama.
